Valve made some additional announcements during its Steam Dev Days conference, one of which included native support for DualShock 4 controllers and even showed off a new Vive controller. Hopefully Valve or Samsung will release support for additional controllers or the use of a keyboard and mouse, especially since the Steam Controller is still a bit awkward to use for most gamers. Since it’ll integrate Steam Link, we assume users will need to own a Steam Controller in order to make use of the integrated service.
While future Samsung TV owners will be able to stream their Steam games directly to their TV, they’ll still need a controller in order to use it. Samsung TV owners will still need to have a PC that is capable of running the games you want to play in addition to a enough bandwidth to support in-home streaming. The announcement was made during the Steam Dev Days conference and will now allow Samsung TV owners to ability to stream their Steam games directly to their TV without the need to purchase a separate device. Steam has announced it has teamed up with Samsung to integrate its Steam Link into future TVs.
